Jon Ragatz has been a marketing practitioner since 1976. He has a Master of Management degree from Northwestern University with an emphasis in marketing, finance and international management.
Before starting a consulting practice in 1998, his career focus had been on classic brand management for such global brands as Olay, Carnation, and Nestle Nesquik; regional brands like Alta Dena; and startups like Made In Nature. His domestic and international assignments have covered broad functional areas including advertising, PR, market research, sales management, brand naming, consumer & sales promotion development, new product development, R&D, purchasing and strategic planning. His international experience includes two years with Nestle SA in Europe.
Jon is a faculty member with the University of Phoenix in San Francisco, Sacramento and San Diego, where he has taught graduate and undergraduate marketing and management courses both in the classroom and on-line since 1998; and, he has been an adjunct faculty member with the Dominican University of California's Green MBA since 2003 and their Pathways program for working adults since 2012. He also taught two years with the Bright Green MBA Program at Alliant International University in San Diego.
